DS Galerie is delighted to participate in Material Art Fair for the second consecutive year, presenting a group exhibition exploring the theme of the garden. This program, both intimate and political, sits at the intersection of contemporary reflections on social and cultural struggles, encompassing queer, decolonial, and ecological thought. The garden here becomes a space for meditation and action, a transformative site where artistic practices interrogate the connections between nature, culture, and society.
The group show brings together Latin American and European artists with whom the gallery collaborates in Paris, offering a diversity of voices and sensibilities. Presented artists include: Bayo Álvaro, Andrés Barón, Luis Figueroa, Cecilia Granara, Mar Pérez, Hatice Pinarbasi, Enea Toldo, and Xolo Cuintle. Each, in their own way, examines forms of life, survival, and interaction with natural and social worlds, blending poetry, politics, and experimental approaches to material and medium. Their works engage in a dialogue across cultures, aesthetics, and media, transforming the exhibition into a dynamic artistic ecosystem where each practice enriches and responds to the others.
In parallel with the fair, the gallery is organizing studio visits to offer the public an in-depth look at the practices of Mexico City–based artists participating in this curatorial proposal. These visits provide a privileged insight into the artists’ methods, inspirations, and creative universes, enhancing the immersive experience and deepening the understanding of the themes explored in the exhibition. More information is available below for visitors wishing to extend their encounter with the works and the artists.
In parallel with the fair, the gallery is organising studio visits to focus on the Mexico City-based artists taking part in the curatorial proposal presented for Material.

Luis Figueroa (1993, Venezuela) is a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL). His work develops a dialectic between being and space, exploring the construction of scenarios in which various artistic and cultural currents converge.
Through rigorous research into colour, her pieces integrate a plurality of contexts, reconciling subjective aesthetic experiences while evoking the autonomy and spirit of an imagined ‘place’. Her career has included solo and group exhibitions in Mexico City, Halifax, Santiago de Chile, Monterrey and New York.More info
