DS Galerie is pleased to welcome ‘Eleven Planets of UltraBride_OnlineDrift_Core’ to the gallery’s exhibition space, a work by Franco-Tunisian artist Liên Hoàng-Xuân (b. 1995, France). She brings together sculpture, video, engraving and painting to create a narrative in which sensitive, narrative and figurative devices intertwine to produce a poetic and political statement. The ‘Eleven Planets of UltraBride_OnlineDrift_Core’ proposal is accompanied by a text by Juliette Hage. The opening, in the presence of the artist, will take place on Thursday 27.03.2025 from 5pm to 8pm.
Liên Hoàng-Xuân is a Franco-Tunisian artist who graduated from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in Beirut (2020) and the Beaux-Arts de Paris (2022). Her protean practice (sculpture, video, engraving, painting, etc.) questions the way in which global and particularly colonial history impacts individual and emotional trajectories. From a geographical imagination that brings together the landscapes of the cities of Tunis, Saigon and Beirut in the same fictional hybrid zone that the artist likes to call the “South of Nowhere”, narrative and figurative devices intertwine.
