Jot Fau is an artist born in 1987 in Belgium who lives and works in Brussels. She holds a Master’s degree from the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts et de Design Marseille Méditerranée (2012). Jot Fau’s work deals with questions of identity, making and becoming, expeditions and research. Of remaining and being reborn. Of departures without the principle of arrivals. Her highly variable forms range from sculpture to installation, object, drawing, video and textile. Her relationship with textiles also unfolds in multiple forms. For a number of years she has also been imagining and designing unique, sculptural garments and costumes for theatre and dance. Her work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions in Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and France. Jot Fau was part of the 66th selection of the Salon de Montrouge (fr) in 2022 and the Belgian gallery Les Drapiers is devoting a solo exhibition to her in 2023. The same year, she was part of the “La rencontre des eaux”, a duo show with Margot Pietri at DS Galerie.
